  • The German Field Hospital
Cobb's work is fascinated by the notion actors and stage.

His work searches for a timeless depiction, where everyday people transform themselves in response to a costume and location. Each individual's passion for history goes far beyond the surface layer of a uniform. Attention to detail and obsession transforms each individual into a parallel universe where time has stood still.

The photo-shoot was shot around a WW2 German field hospital. Shying away from the re-enactor battles raging nearby, Cobb captures wounded re-enactors and medical staff in quiet moments of contemplation.

As a multi award winning creative, Cobb brings his painterly expertise and qualities into his work. For this series Cobb is particularly influenced by cinematic moments frozen in time.

A day with WW2 Re-enactment group Heer Gruppe at the Kelvedon Secret Nuclear Bunker. Set in and around the atmospheric bunker, Cobb captures re-enactors frozen in time. Flashes of the cold war surroundings give the photos a strange setting where the past steps into the present and back again.
